Just in time for the new year!

Hello all!  It's been a good while since I've posted, but honestly, my December has mostly been vacation time.  Sanzo visited for an entire week (something we hadn't done since the beginning of 2011), which was entirely fantastic and amazing, as to be expected.  Sanzo got through the entirety of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories with the pervy ending, as well as a bit of (one of my personal favorites) Dokapon Kingdom, plus a hearty serving of Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World.  We, of course, also partook in hours upon hours of DeliciousCinnamon's Let's Play-esque videos of the terribly hilarious Vietnamese bootleg "translation" of Pokémon Crystal.  Sanzo's epic visit ended, sadly, one week ago today, before being caught up in the shitstorm that O'Hare had for flight delays and cancellations.  Sanzo did make it home eventually!

Kale and I continue to power through Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, nearing the end as we're on the final season.  Earlier this week (between illnesses..) I had a chance to binge a bit on Final Fantasy VIII with Kit, actually getting past that stupid train bullshit in Timber without my interest being permanently lost.  I'm finding more and more creative ways to break the game with magic draws and junctioning.  It's a good time.

Mr. Bond and I continued Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals after a three-month hiatus earlier tonight, ending just after Alunze Castle.  It's becoming a very quick game now that I understand the basics, but I still need to figure out how to use IP properly.  I did manage to "capture" Foomy, though, so that was helpful in my quest to mow down everything in my path.

I return to my normal work schedule (actually, I'll be on-call for the week of the new year, bleh) Monday, but have some vacation time over the second weekend to visit Farran in Champaign, plus a work holiday party somewhere in the middle of the month, finally ending with Wintereenmas 2014!  We'll make much more noise about that as we approach the glorious week at the end of January, so stay tuned!
