So, the site has changed a bit more than I originally anticipated, but I think it looks a whole lot better. We kept the three-column layout, but everything is rearranged, simplified, and on the whole more pleasant:
- All our most recent blogs are on the front
- No more bounding boxes - text wants to be free.
- Cool roll-over about panes (hover over our "titles" to see them)
- Separation of Zero Hour Productions and Seeking Infinity content (see menu tabs)
- Responsive - content reflows across smartphone screen area up to desktop (and back again)
Also rewrote some overall site content (namely Legal - new for ZHP - and About), trimmed superfluous text where necessary, and updated a lot of SI data for Journey 3. We're still trying to decide the best way to present it. I'm leaning more towards doing it in shorter, less frequent intervals, interspersed with some other new content.
The one major thing that hasn't yet been updated is...the logo. That will take some time, but I didn't want it to hold up the rest. It's just barely passable - for now - but it will be the next revamp target.
Really quite pleased with the refresh. Much less mucking about in the theme CSS files; while I didn't mind doing that, it's a lot easier to make minor tweaks now without risk of really borking something else.
